TOTALITARIAN OLIGARCHY.
It has recently been announced that the sneaky members of the CAMS executive wish to remove the word CONFEDERATION from the name.
The Confederation of Australian Motorsport is a Confederation of affiliated motoring clubs each member club of which with sufficient membership is entitled to nominate a CAMS delegate to sit on State Council meetings.
This process ensures the participation of Car Club members in the decision making process and this is exactly why the CAMS executive wish to remove the power. If it ceases to be a CONFEDERATION we will no longer have a say in whichever direction the executive choose to go.
The organisation will become a money making enterprise benefiting whomever the executive decide to favour (themselves perhaps?).
If you wish to have your say be sure to instruct your CAMS delegate to attend State Council Meetings and express your strongest opposition to the proposal.
