Waneroo Nostalgia
Trawling through some old motorsport photos while I'm stuck in bed, I came across this. Now, you Westies, tell me about the blue car bearing down on the Lotus. Who, what, when?
Colin, the blue Mk.7 you mentioned belongs to Eddie Mells who hasn't been racing that long. At the time that photo was taken his car was brown and owned by Spencer Stacey. I'm starting to think about the ex-Geoff Mann 1978 calendar car that he sold to someone in WA. It's the right colour. Anyway, Barry and Stacey are on the case.
Ray Julian has just recalled to Stacey that his car was blue at one stage.Murphy's car (the one Dave Hamlin now has) was orange and blue. They were the only 2 7s racing in WA in the 70s.

Hi John, I`m guessing Rob Willson late 70`s wannaroo. Regds Gary A
Did Rob race a Mk 7? What about the current blue Mk7 being raced at various events in WA. Is that the same car?
Rob certainly had a Mark 7, as did his brother. Not sure if he raced one though. He definitely raced a Nagari, Gary as you well know.
