Not your ordinary Mini - No.5.
In case you were wondering what "Mr. Steam and Electric Power", Bruce Tonkin, was up to, this is what he owns at the moment. Described by Bruce as looking like the love child of a Moke and a Mini.
It's the first electric car built by Flinders University in 1972. It has a Mini subframe in the front widened 125 mm, Mini suspension front and rear and Mini steering. The rest is totally constructed by the Flinders crew. It has 12 x 12 volt batteries, electric motor and is hydrostatic drive. He has fixed up the outside so it looks OK but it does not run yet.
