A blast from the past

3 photos taken in Como, South Perth in the early 70s. A couple of smart looking Bolwells. The Mark 7 has hubcaps. A nice looking chrome surround around the windscreen on the Mark 5. The middle picture shows just how much lower the Mark 5s were compared to the Mark 7. I didn't even know there was a Mark 5 in the West. I wonder where it is now. Meanwhile, a Mark 5 left here this Monday heading in that direction.

John,
Both cars have Vic. rego. it would have been a much arduous trip in those days than it is now, a real feat of endurance and determination.

John,
What year was the first Easter Bollie meet? I think I was running around in my Orange Mk 5 in 1973 and the highway over the Nullabor was unsealed then soo bloody great effort to drive a Bolly to Perth way back then. Col
