A Spanish dash panel

The other day I showed you some work being done on the dash bit, away from the body. That guy is Vicente and he looks after the upholstery needs. He was really rapt to see himself on a blog from the other side of the world. Here he is finishing off the fitting of the crash padding.
It looks really smart now that it's all fitted up. It'll soon be time for the windscreen to go in.
This is how it looked only a few days ago.

John, have you found out yet which of the European cars is B8/44, can both have that same number?

I've been going through piles of correspondence about the one that was racing over there and can't seem to put my finger on a reference to the chassis number. I did hear it referred to as B8/4 at one stage but we all know rhat can't be right - or can it? Its homologation papers had a chassis number on them. Now, where did I put my copies? They had some paperwork from Bolwell verifying that it was built in 1972. That could mean anything I guess. I'll get on the trail. Or can someone else help?

Just found another FIA document that indicated that it was built between June and November 1971.
