Another sports

Thanks everybody for pointing out my omission, there's B8/112 as well. That makes 19. Here's a photo of the detachable hardtop that Michael DeCrespigny had made for it. That dark blue was its original colour. It was a Jaguar colour at the time.

Could I get one in pink?

There was one made for a Mary Kay lady and it was pink. The lads at the factory were none too happy about it! It was later painted orange I was told. Don't know the number but probably in the 80s or 90s.

Number B8/13 was not issued originally but the number was used later for a sports built by Tony Grant at the factory in the late seventies. It was painted black.

James, I think the pink one was B8/60, bought new by Sally Matthews (later Melhart) and later sold to Pete Garvin. I have a photo of it taken at a Mt. Gambier Easter and it looks decidedly pink. The pink Pantera that Dr. Eddleston bought for his wife raised a few eyebrows too.
Years ago, I bought the orange B8/81 from the original lady owner but that one was orange from the outset.
I'll post some photos of these cars separately.

John I think you may be mistaken on this one, My car is Vermillion Fire painted by Royce for Sally during her custodionship. It was originally a darker Red, still visible underneath. See Wheels and Sports Car World road tests when owned by Terry Spooner, Bolwell salesman. I cartainly cant find any traces of pink.

Yes Pete, James has said the same thing. Terry Spooner's car was red and it went to Sally and Walter and then you. There was a pink car. We should be asking Henry or Rohan which one it was. They've got all the records.

I always remember Terry driving the silver sports, the original one (B8/47) in his capacity as salesman. John Alsop later painted that one green. The last time I saw that car was at the Coleraine Easter. It belonged to a farmer from Digby and he turned up for the mortorkhana with his mate in an Aston DB4. That was when the local cop put his police car in the drag races.

John, I recall building the pink sports for a Heather Preston. Not sure on the no. But remember it was ordered with black lambs wool seats. The car went to Sydney with heather when she moved jobs.
