Inspiration.

Remember Barry Campbell telling us that his introduction to sports car racing and to Bolwells in particular came from his good mate in Sydney who raced a Mk.4? There was also a photo floating around of Barry in his TR3A towing a trailer with the Mk.4 on the back. Well, that good friend was Brian Body and the Bolwell was a serious bit of kit. Here's a couple of photos of Brian and the car at Oran Park in 1970.
Now I wonder where that car is now!

I was a 13 year old kid when this car was being built. Brian Body & my brother were friends at the time. It was built out in the open on a block of land near Pt Kembla. My brother was also friends with Barry Campbell at the time when the TR3 was still a road car. I saw that car morph into the race version. I saw Barry drive the car at Warwick Farm must have been around 1968. After that Barry built his LJ sports sedan in the later 70’s. Unfortunately Brian was killed in an aero accident.
