Dick's old Milano GT for sale in UK.

Description:

This Milano GT was built in 1964 by its first owner, Dick Willis (due to sales tax all Milanos were sold to their first owners in kit form). Willis campaigned the car extensively in Australia up to 1967, predominantly in the New South Wales Hillclimb Championship, in which he finished 2nd to the famous Ron Thorpe Cobra in 1965. The car was the first to have a 3-litre Holden straight 6 fitted, which today is tuned to produce 250 bhp. Indeed it is believed to be the only car to run the Holden 3-litre before 1966. This car was brought to the UK in 2012 and gradually restored to the specification as run by Dick Willis in period.
This involved fresh paint, rebuilding the suspension, fitting a new fuel tank, roll cage, seatbelts and fire extinguisher amongst other items. The car weighs just 750kg and therefore has rapid acceleration.
Now for sale due to changing plans. An ideal car for various historic racing categories
Now, if this red Milano GT raced by Mike Eagles is not the same car, then there are 3 Mk.1 Milano GTs that have gone over to the UK.
