Supashock succeeding at the V8 level and looking to break into Formula One

(as featured on Adelaidenow.com.au) The Ford Performance Racing V8 Supercar Team will be staying on an even keel this weekend with help from Supashock technology developed in Magill.

Supashock is this weekend being used by FPR and has also been supplied to Erebus and Lucas Dumbrell Racing as well as the entire V8 Racing Ute field.

Ford is also using Supashock in its European GT racing team and the company is working with a Formula One team which is testing its products.

Commercial director Tim Possingham said this could lead to new opportunities for the company.

“Through this program, doors have been opened into OEM (original equipment manufacturer) supply and Supashock is looking at an exciting 12 months ahead that include increased staff uptake and investment in more machinery,” Mr Possingham said.

Managing director Oscar Fiorinotto developed the technology in a partnership originally funded by Adelaide businessman and motorsport enthusiast Kevin Weeks.

Mr Possingham said Supashock was exactly the sort of advanced manufacturing which the state should be focusing on.

“Australia is well respected as a source for innovative technology and quality product in the global marketplace.

I have spent 10 years connecting good Australian manufacturers with the rest of the world and we have always had great success based on a product’s technical advantages.

Smart companies playing in this space are more insulated from the types of scenario’s we have seen make Holden manufacturing unviable.”

Committal service will be held at Centennial Park Crematorium, 760 Goodwood Road, SA, Australia on Tuesday, 25th February 2014.

Jim White

 We are very sorry to say that Jim White passed away on Tuesday after a long illness with cancer.  Jim was well know among the Bolwell community in Australia and was always a keen attendee at Easters, Club Meets and Mallala track days.  He owned an immaculate Green Nagari Sports as well as a 1994 Red NSX and had recently bought a Honda S600 which he was well on the way to restoring.  In fact Jim continued to head out to his garage and progress the S600 project even when he was quite ill.  His focus and determination along with his positive attitude was an inspiration to us all.

He had competed in the Targa in his Bolwell and was passionate about his cars, Hondas, Bolwells, Evos and previously Triumphs. A photo of the Bolly at Targa-

Oxenberry again this year.

Hi SA Bolwell owners,

Last year we had a great day at the MCLAREN VALE VINTAGE & CLASSIC Car run at Serafino’s and lunch which followed at Oxenberry Winery.  It is on again this year, Sunday 6th Apr 2014 and the great news is that Oxenberry have asked us back again for lunch and to display the cars.

Our host winery, Oxenberry which is across the road from Serafino's, will be hosting lunch and wine tasting will also be available.  We will be joined by the NSX, Holden and Ford Falcon groups.

 We will meet at Crafers Hotel, out the front at 8:45 am and drive down together via some more interesting roads.  We then join the other car groups around 1000 am at Serafino (McLarens on the Lake), Coffee, tea and breakfast will be available.  We remain at Serafino until 11:00 am to enable viewing of other clubs vehicles before proceeding in convoy around a short scenic drive of the area via the Main Street, to our winery, Oxenberry.
