I've just been reading this pictorial account of a couple of Canberra blokes who drove a Fiat Multipla from Australia to England in 1969. This is how the car travelled from Sri Lanka to India.

It reminds me of when Trish sent her Mark 7 over from Hobart. It came on a very small boat and when it arrived in Port Adelaide they slung it up onto the wharf in exactly the same manner. That's the 7 Brian Deckert now has.

No worries about LHD or RHD.

Simply the best.

I wonder what this means.

"Coca Cola" Yellow.

The Nagari's original deep yellow was always called Coca Cola yellow in my circles because it was the colour of Coke trucks. Everyone tells me that those trucks were always red. My memory takes me back to the 50s when they were definately yellow and here's proof. Micro Models' International Coke truck was certainly "Coca Cola yellow".

I'm harking back to when I had a studio like that with all the edges rounded off to create oblivion. Doing it on the cheap, for the corners we took a mould from half of a giant beach ball. If the studio was white, you could bet the next job would require black walls and floor. So out would come the black paint and the rollers on long poles. It used to get repainted weekly on average.
