Simon Wells entered the McArlus in the MSCA final round at Calder Park on Saturday 5th Nov 2011. The car looked and sounded great and surprised many there on the day. Simon’s best lap time was a very respectable 1:09:0879, and he actually won his class. After a minor off-track excursion early on, Simon finished the day in spectacular fashion when a minor oil leak hit something hot and smoke and flames ensued. Fortunately Simon was not injured and there was minimal damage to the car, although the oil and fire extinguisher dust did require a decent cleanup afterwards.
There were, however, some other cars of interest on the day.........
Plus this little Sprinter, for no other reason than its wheel lifting performances.
