Waiting for the article.

Last year Stacey teased us a bit with his discovery of the original builder of his Buchanan when the builder, Murray's,  brother came up with this framed picture. Murray's brother thought it was a Bolwell, not that he could spell it.
The car was easily recognised as Stacey's by the slot above the nose.
The car was originally built in Fremantle in 1962, Murray using the mechanicals from his dad's FJ.
The original builder but not the original purchaser, the body and chassis being brought over to WA by Ron Willmott to build into a drag racer. Ron achieved notoriety in WA drag racing circles with his JWF Milano roadster "Mighty Mouse".
Years later, but still donkey's years ago, one of Stacey's friends found the Buchanan in a paddock.
Six months of negotiating with a deceased estate and Stacey became the new owner.
Now an article on the Buchanan's history and its plans for the future have been promised and I, for one, can't wait.

Hot bikes.

Greg saw this one in Perth.
But what about these? There's a bit of HP there!
We've just had the Kapunda Farm Fair. Blokes wandering around everywhere in their John Deere caps. I bet they'd go weak at the knees if they saw one of these.
Beven has just come up with this supercharged Chev powered example.

Tail light in UK.

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=161399031302&alt=web
At GBP 70 plus postage, that seems an awful lot for one left hand tail light. I know it's a DBS one, but I think it will be staying in England. I wonder if Aston Martin owners are on to the fact that they are sharing their tail lamps with the Rootes Group as Nagari people are.

Here it is.

very well put together I might add.

Man and Machine.

Just in case you missed the show on Monday night....

"You might be aware that the Victorian club contacted Glenn Everitt of the 'Man and Machine' tv show to see if he would be interested in filming an episode on Bolwells. He was, and 2 days filming took place earlier in February this year.

Below is advice from Glenn that the Bolwell episode is scheduled to go to air on Monday, April 11th at 8.30pm EST on channel '4ME' (Channel 74 metro; Channel 64 regional), and will be repeated:
Wednesday5pm
Thursday8.30pm
Saturday5pm

The air-time is all based on Eastern Standard Time (EST), so it will air in other states taking into account the relevant time difference, ie 8.30pm Melbourne = 5.30pm Perth, etc. Note that day-light savings finishes this Sunday morning (3 April), so times will need to be adjusted accordingly, ie 8.30 pm Melbourne = 6.30pm Perth from next week.

Thanks, Merryn"

Not a Manx.
