Remember this?

I think this is a different one.
There used to be a Merlin powered Zephyr kicking around Adelaide too.

This is a Rolls Royce V12 on the Geue family farm just outside Kapunda.
I'm not sure if it was ever connected to anything but it used to get started up form time to time. The farm was sold some time ago so what happened to the engine I don't know. Maybe it's the one that Lincoln Nitschke has over at Greenock that we heard running at our Easter in the Barossa.

I remember reading about a chap in England who connected his merlin via a series od gearboxes and reductions to the pencil sharpener in his office.

Maybe he could have given a few pointers to the guy with the Holden. It was never a success because the power was too much for the clutch and running gear.
