Does or did anybody know Charie Tolhurst?

In this edition of Auto Sportsman (August 1967).........
.......is a report on the 1967 NSW Sprint Championships at Castlereagh where Charlie competed in this Mark 7.

He won the sports cars 3001-4000cc class with a time of 14.25 secs for the quarter mile.
The sports car FTD was 13.80 taken out by Ron Thorpe in the famous AC Cobra (over 4000cc)
Incidentally 1st and 2nd in the 2501-3000cc class were a couple of Milano GTs, Bruce Leer 1st (13.94 secs.) and 2nd Ian (Sam) Johnson (13.95 secs).
Charlie Tolhurst also entered the Improved Production Touring Cars in a Holden, winning the 3001-4000cc class and breaking the record.
The event involved sprinting in both directions and taking an average of the 2 runs. North-South was the normal direction. When travelling South-North there was only a 440 yard braking area before encountering dense undergrowth so it was common to see cars spin at 100+ mph to stop in the distance.
