There's this one of course.
And this one.
Which may well be this one.
Or even this one.
Then there's this big red V8 one.
And this one in Sydney.
And these 3 in Newcastle.
And the one in Victoria that Stacey called in to see on his way home last Easter.
And the red one he didn't have time to catch up with. How many's that?
And these ones could be any of the above.

There was also one with Citroen Light 15 mechanicals I believe.
The one with Citroen running gear changed hands this year...I can't remember who I was speaking to who owns it.
The first 3are the one and same. Citreon one is with a guy who has another and quite a few oz special s. The Newcastle ones I have written to but haven't had a reply (want to buy maybe), the red one won't sell(bugger). There is one I sent a badge to in the river land that is nearly restored(and along with the Alfa one may be at next easter), a jag one in Canberra, another v8 one in NSW, and can't remember the others. From memory 13 or14 are accounted for.one was written off in Vic.
How many kits were originally manufactured?
oops don't worry - I had a look at the BCCA NSW website. 13 or 14 surviving cars out of 20 original kits some 50 years later is amazing.
When I spoke to Jeff in the very earlyb80's, he didn't have an exact number as he never kept records. His best was between 18 and 21. You have to remember he was always into something different all the time and if someone came in with $ or £ he made it. Think of it this way, he made the following over the years: Renault Moir special, Buchanan body and cobra, hunter, hardtops for sports cars (these are among the best ever made), beach buggies ( 4 or 5 different types including a full chassis one in the late 70' early 80's), boats ' catamarans (still being raced in era racing), and any odd ball repair or thing someone came in with. (Ala me and that's how I met him). All in all a very underated and unrecognised man who was at the forefront of fibreglassing from the very beginning to the mid 80's.
By the way, if anyone has a Moir Renault I have a spare kidney left, lets do a deal! If anyone has any leads (other than Tony Moir's car) I'd really appreciate it. Cheers, Duane
That's not a problem, behind me! I've been looking since the 80's re leads etc. They got to be somewhere as a few where sold.
Hehe, me too...and so was Tony! Oddly enough, after spending 30 years trying to find one (with his dad) it wasn't until one popped up in Just Cars that he nabbed a car. From what I've heard around 40 were made, there's a lot rarer cars (like the Hunter) that have survived in number...where are they all?
John low, time you put a wanted add for me on your blog with picture.(if you don't have a picture I'll send you one). They are in someone's shed and I really do want one. Complete my collection.
OK, do that. The one in Mike McCarthy's book has a crease down the middle.
