Home At Last

Well, we've made it home. Not in the camper van however. That's sitting in Gilgandra with at least a blown head gasket. I'm still not sure how to get it home but I guess we'll work that out in time. We managed to get down to Dubbo and pick up an AU Falcon rent-a-car which we dropped off in Adelaide yesterday. It's all been a very costly exercise. And to think we had nursed the camper all the way based on the fact that we didn't have time to road test it before going, after finishing the engine repairs on Christmas Day. Anyway, we had a great time in Woodford. For 2009, a major rethink is in order. I've tried being a pensioner with no superannuation and there's no future in it. You can live on it if nothing goes wrong but this series of disasters, capping off family problems and the odd health problems, has made a bit of a mess. So, it's back to the drawing board. Onwards and upwards from here. I've led a charmed life so far. Not like those poor buggers in Gaza.
