Kapunda - week 111.
Driving into town from the Barossa on Monday I found myself following this little beauty.
It was a brisk morning and it was zipping along with the top down. The driver only put it up temporarily while he went into Autopro to get some bits. I wonder what's under the bonnet. Obviously not a 600/800. I'll have to keep an eye out for it in future.
This is possibly the same car in an earlier life (see comments).

Coming back out of the sheds.
The Bend is getting a bit of a workout on the long track with Greg and Scott on Wednesday.....
......and Adrian on Sunday.
Then on Tuesday we had an impromptu day trip to Goolwa.
A great day, despite all the closed pubs (but not cafes), which has caused a resolve to do a trip to somewhere monthly (on the third Tuesday of each month).
On the way back to Willaston we called in on Kym and Maria. Maria was working on Norm and Sarah's fruitcake recipe and Kym is in the process of building a new motor for the GT and a grey motor for James Rosenberg. James dropped in (from next door) and he's always good for a yarn.
This is the old Mk.4 chassis which is good for fitting components while the new chassis is being fabricated in another corner of that vast shed.

A very nice Nagari revisited.
I'm talking of George May's red Nagari sports on the Gold Coast. It has been featured minimally in Bollyblog many years ago and here it is in 2020 still looking and driving just as well.
Thanks Peter Mac for the photos.
And this is George.
For many years he has operated a business called Racecraft and has been responsible for the construction of many V8 Mk.7s including those of Matt Jenkins, Peter Kordic and even your blue one, Phil and Rita. These days George seems to have a penchant for installing V8s in Sigmas and Scorpions.

Front wheel offsets.
We've always thought that the Ikara front wheels don't fill the guards out in standard form. The mudguards are big and wide and the wheels are tucked in there somewhere. The problem has been solved with these expensive looking spacers.
There! That's better!
This of course is Tony's car. For mine I have no wheels to start with so I'm planning to go for 15s and I can please myself about offsets when I get them made.

Huge progress on B8/47
Robert has certainly been busy.
As you can see it;s been repainted in its original silver and from what I remember, it's VERY close to that original colour. Good research. I believe the body goes on this week.
Here's a photo of B8/47 back in its green days, taken at Padthaway on its way back to Adelaide following an Easter in Victoria.

Accurate fibreglass reproduction.
Looks like a Morgan.
But now come around the back. It's a bloody Volksie!
Here's another local fibreglass replica.
but at least the engine is in the right place.
