1989 MX-5
25 years on.
Recently read, in Pistonheads I think :-
"Having been created to evoke the spirit of classic European roadsters, the MX-5 is now old enough to offer a vaguely historic experience itself".
Well, that's true.

Jim White
We are very
sorry to say that Jim White passed away on Tuesday after a long illness with
cancer. Jim was well know among the Bolwell
community in Australia and was always a keen attendee at Easters, Club Meets and
Mallala track days. He owned an
immaculate Green Nagari Sports as well as a 1994 Red NSX and had recently
bought a Honda S600 which he was well on the way to restoring. In fact Jim continued to head out to his
garage and progress the S600 project even when he was quite ill. His focus and determination along with his
positive attitude was an inspiration to us all.
He had
competed in the Targa in his Bolwell and was passionate about his cars, Hondas,
Bolwells, Evos and previously Triumphs. A photo of the Bolly at Targa-
He will be
remembered as an absolute gentleman with a brilliant mind. A tribute to his
life in SA business is in today’s Advertiser-
Our
thoughts are with his wife Andrea and his 3 sons.

Oxenberry again this year.
Hi SA Bolwell owners,
Last year we had a great day at the MCLAREN VALE VINTAGE
& CLASSIC Car run at Serafino’s and lunch which followed at Oxenberry
Winery. It is on again this year, Sunday 6th Apr 2014 and the great news
is that Oxenberry have asked us back again for lunch and to display the
cars.
Our host winery, Oxenberry which is across the road from
Serafino's, will be hosting lunch and wine tasting will also be available.
We will be joined by the NSX, Holden and Ford Falcon groups.
Winery details are- http://oxenberry.com/site/ sales.php
We will meet at
Crafers Hotel, out the front at 8:45 am and drive down together via some more
interesting roads. We then join the other car groups around 1000 am at
Serafino (McLarens on the Lake), Coffee, tea and breakfast will be
available. We remain at Serafino until 11:00 am to enable viewing of other
clubs vehicles before proceeding in convoy around a short scenic drive of the
area via the Main Street, to our winery, Oxenberry.
Entry for the Serafino’s run is only $20,
closing on 20th March 2014 and entry forms are on - http://www.vintageandclassic. com.au/index_htm_files/ VCEntryForm2014.pdf
Please write on your entry form that you are
with the Bolwell Club and are going to Oxenberry. More details on the
lunch to follow!
If you just want to come to the winery
for lunch then that’s fine as well, either way let me know and I can let
Oxenberry know numbers.
Cheers,
Scott

Short notice.
For those SA members who haven't left for the meeting at the Res., and don't know about it, the pub's still closed as they haven't got the power back on after last night's storm. We'll have the meeting and dinner next Tuesday, same time same place. Can't be helped.
