Kapunda - week 111.

Driving into town from the Barossa on Monday I found myself following this little beauty.
It was a brisk morning and it was zipping along with the top down. The driver only put it up temporarily while he went into Autopro to get some bits. I wonder what's under the bonnet. Obviously not a 600/800. I'll have to keep an eye out for it in future.

This is possibly the same car in an earlier life (see comments).

  1. Looks like one I owned in the mid 1980's in Lyndoch. Had a 1200/1400 Datsun motor, gearbox and diff back then. Same wheels. But went to WA and then to Melbourne all with the same owner. Seems to have been rebuilt with the alloy work. I painted it BRG when I had it and next owner did quality professional red repaint which it still had when I saw it in Caufield in early 2001. Spoke with the owner at the time who confirmed he had taken it to WA. Bloody long drive.

  3. I am looking at a pic taken in Lyndoch which I would post if I knew how. LOL. I actually owned it twice as post the red paint job I took it in part exchange for a 186S powered MGA I also owned at the time. Cannot remember who I sold it to after that.
