John was over at the Muscle Car Expo. A couple that caught his eye were the 8 litre SLR8000 and Ross Carrington's B8/66.

Lunch at the Victory.
What a nice day Sunday (not weather wise perhaps). Meeting in the morning at the Crafers pub wasn't all that easy - it was pretty hard to find with all the fog. Anyway 3 Mark 7s and 2 Nagaris plus a couple of "back up cars" and an NSX.set off for Strathalbyn for coffee via Hahndorf passing quite a gaggle of Lotii heading towards Picadilly. Wayne, driving Scott's Nagari sports, took us over some beautiful countryside at a manageable and enjoyable pace (no tearing off into the distance leaving others struggling to either keep up or get lost). It was still very cold in Strath but the sun was shining and here we met the Strathalbyn Auto Collectors Club's chairman who invited us to their big Australia Day bash - open to "all cars manufactured in Australia prior to 1979" (so there's no pressure to get the Ikara finished by then.)
On to Sellicks via another interesting route, encountering the Exotic Spotters along the way, driving Porsche, A8 and Ferrari, arriving just in time for lunch and discovering another 2 car loads who had driven straight there.
The place was packed but we had the cellar to ourselves - they knew we could be trusted among those $1000 bottles.
Here's the view from the balcony.
An excellent day. Read all about it in Ron W's article in the next Slipstream.

Winners are grinners.
Couldn't quite get a trophy for coming first in the 6 Hour but "Best Presented Team" is pretty nice. Here's our team members with their trophies at the AGM the other night.
One team member wasn't at the meeting. Don't worry Brian, I have your trophy for next time I see you.

RX3 with pedigree
Coming up in Shannons' next auction. What an amazing little car. Not only did it win class C at Bathurst in 1975, it came FIFTH OUTRIGHT.

Bill's red coupe.
Bill Tymms is selling his beloved B8/25 after all these years. Reckons he's just not using it enough. 3 times in the last 12 months. That's more than some people use their cars and I'm guessing that it had more outings than the SR6. Here it is on carsales.com.au.........

I really love the wire wheels.
In my opinion it's very reasonably priced at $55,000 and if I had that sort of money I'd be lining up myself.

Sold!
Errol has finally completed a deal on the yellow sports. It's off to Victoria which upsets the locals a bit - they take these things personally. The new owner is a nice guy I'm told, a potential club member and is looking forward to future Easters.
