Maserati (actually a Talbot Lago).

I'm sure this was a Maserati ( not certain of the model).
But look at the similarity to the Buckle.

    Had me searching for a while, but I reckon it's actually a Talbot Lago, Largo America from 1957. One of 12 with a BMW V8.
    Very nice just the same.
    Makes you wonder if that is where Buckle came up with the shape.

    Yes you're right. That's what it was. Buckle brought that car out about the same time so he would have to have been quick.
